LWML

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official organization of the women of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Trinity Ladies Aid and Women of St. Paul are societies of the LWML. The motto of the LWML is Psalm 100:2 "Serve the Lord with Gladness".

      LWML MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. All women in each congregation are members of LWML.

LWML Mites - Mark 12:41-43 the story of the Woman's Mite- Mite boxes are available to each woman who can voluntarily give to missions in a way she chooses. Some give the pennies that come their way; others give the change they have left each day. Each decides how she will share what she has into the mite box. Gathered together, the mites have provided and continue to provide thousands and even millions of dollars for missions. Nationally the goal during the 2009-2011 biennium was over $1.8 million and funded projects all over the globe.

Women of St. Paul meet at the church after services on the second Sunday of each month. "Goody" of the Month is their primary fundraiser. Two different Goodies are available each month. Members take turns making a special item to be sold as the "Goody" for $5.00 each as a means of raising funds for missions. Greeting cards with a Christian message are made available at the church at a very reasonable cost. Mission projects include providing support for a seminarian and a Holt child. All women in the congregation are invited to join in their activities.

Mission projects include supporting a seminarian, LCMS World Relief and Human Care, Bethesda communities and a wide variety of other mission project.
